a) A Family Member* of a competitor
b) A current Coach of a competitor or a family member* of a Coach of a competitor

*Family member is defined as a parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, sibling, or step-sibling.

If for any other reason you feel that you have a conflict, please include that in your additional information.
Phase 2: Prevention
The prevention phase is intended to prevent or minimize the impact of conflicts of interest by taking steps to reduce the risk. This includes referencing real, perceived or potential conflicts against a table that provides Remedial / Risk Reduction Actions for managing categories of conflicts of interest for officials with various roles.

To review the table of Remedial Risk Reduction Actions and Monitoring, please refer to the Conflict of Interest for Officials document.
Phase 3: Manage
This phase involves managing conflicts when they arise with appropriate remedial risk reduction actions and monitoring of risk reductions actions to ensure that actual, potential, and perceived conflicts of interest have been satisfactorily managed.
Membership Fees
BC Artistic Swimming will waive the fees for Judges and Referees who actively officiated in at least two (2) competitions in the previous season (2022-2023).

In recognition of National Judges and Referees who continue to voluntarily invest in their development pathway and to share their knowledge and experience within the province of BC, BC Artistic Swimming will pay the Canada Artistic Swimming fees and has eliminated provincial fees.

BC Artistic Swimming will invoice any officials who has dues for the 2023-2024 season.
