2022 HR Professional of the Year

This annual award recognizes a Human Resource leader who has advanced the profession in a significant way. The individuals nominated for this award serve as role models for the profession setting the standard for others to follow and applying their expertise to enhance organizational effectiveness.

Eligibility

Nominees must be a member in good standing with SHRM and a member of a local Florida State Chapter. Self-nominations are welcomed and encouraged.

Guidelines
  • Entries must be received no later than June 25, 2022
  • Submission of the entry implies support and approval of the entry by the nominee.
  • Chapters may nominate more than one candidate.
  • Incomplete entries may be disqualified at the discretion of the selection committee.
  • At the discretion of the selection committee, an award winner may not be chosen.
The selection committee is comprised of a committee of active Council Members.
Tips for a high-quality nomination:
  • Showcase your nominees unique qualities. Include their professional accomplishments that sets them apart in our field. 
  • Include personal anecdotes. Create a compelling story by telling the review committee about the nominee. 
  • Focus on the impact of their contributions. Provide a deep dive that explores the impact on their organization and the people.

Nominees are evaluated on their accomplishments and consistent demonstration of the SHRM Code of Ethics. Special attention is given to how the nominee has applied innovative concepts and achieved outstanding results in their work. Comments should be limited to five (5) pages based on the criteria below:

Highlight the overall contribution(s) the nominee has made to Advance the Profession and drive organizational effectiveness through outstanding approaches, innovative ideas or strategic partnerships.
