1. Because stats can be useful

We've been following feedback in email and the forum, but we wanted to give everyone a chance to share their thoughts now that we're 2 weeks into the new site.

* 1. How long have you been reading Ars Technica?

* 2. Please rate the following changes to the site

Hadn't noticed. Hate it! Dislike it! Neutral. Like it! Love it!
The new front page (generally)
New article pages (wider text column, etc.)
New journal/section pages (shows all content by topic)
New navigation (two clicks to any part of the site)
Commenting system
Increased use of images
Expanded RSS
Black site option
Speed of the site

* 3. With respect to our increased use of images, which statements best characterize your views? You can chose more than one.

* 4. Our main listing of stories (Latest Top Stories) now includes all content, regardless of genre or format. Knowing it could add clutter, would you prefer we add some kind of indicator as to a particular story's genre or format? (A small icon, a short text descriptor, etc.)

* 5. Here are some ideas we have for improving the site. Please rate them.

I would not like this. I don't care either way. I think this would be an improvement. I'd give a kidney for this.
Option to show ALL stories in reverse chronological order in Latest Top Stories (short, long, journal, review, etc.), but filterable by topic as well.
Option to compress/remove the top promotional area.
Option to suppress all story/lede images on index pages.
Filtering options for the Journals box (e.g., Show Apple and Science only).
Daily email newsletter with all stories excerpted from a given section.
Search-based RSS feeds.
Author specific RSS feed.

* 6. If you were grading us on the success of the new site, what grade would you give?

* 7. What one thing would you most like to see changed?

* 8. Any other comments to share with us?
