This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Kicking Horse Pedestrian Bridge and we want to hear your stories!

Whether you helped build the bridge, volunteered your time to support those building the bridge, or just have an interesting story related to the bridge, submit your story from now until September 6, 2021.

About the Kicking Horse Pedestrian Bridge:
The Kicking Horse Pedestrian Bridge remains the longest single-span freestanding timber frame bridge in Canada. The bridge was built in 2001 with help from over 100 members of the Timber Framers Guild coming from the US, Europe and all over Canada to help build and raise it. The bridge was constructed using locally sourced timbers, utilizing a ‘Burr Arch’ design intended to reflect the heritage of the Swiss Guides in Golden.
