The 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) is a strategic document for the Pikes Peak region that identifies current and future transportation needs and funding strategies. It includes several components, including the 2050 Regional Transit Plan and Specialized Transportation Plan.

Mountain Metropolitan Transit (MMT) is developing the 2050 Regional Transit Plan, which will guide service changes to better meet the region's future mobility needs. These changes include more frequent service, new routes/services, and expanded weekday, evening, and weekend service.

MMT is also working with Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments to update the Specialized Transportation Plan. This Plan, which is required for federal funding purposes, focuses on understanding the transit needs of older adults, people with disabilities, and low-income communities who live in the Colorado Springs area.

To view the open house stations, visit the 2050 Regional Transit Plan and Specialized Transportation Plan website. MMT and PPACG will be collecting feedback until Friday, May 17, 2024.
