2027 National SEMM Conference - Call for Session Proposals

Session Proposal & Event Details

Thank you for your interest in speaking at the in-person 2027 SEMM National Conference taking place in Halifax, Nova Scotia, from April 5-7, 2027.

We encourage submissions from educators, researchers, administrators, and practitioners. Session submissions will be reviewed on an ongoing basis until the program is full. Submissions should:
  • Include presentations, panels, case studies, or interactive workshops.
  • Highlight practical insights, real-world examples, and actionable takeaways.
Presenters will not receive paid compensation; however, approved session presenters will receive a $400 registration discount towards their main conference registration (April 6 & 7, 2027). If a submission is not accepted, we will provide all post-secondary employees a discount code to lower the registration rate to the registration rate on the date the submission was received.

Vendors/Service Providers
To ensure our sessions reflect a broad and balanced perspective, we ask that all post-secondary service/vendor-led presentations include a co-presenter from a post-secondary institution—unless the topic is based on independent research, case studies, or instructional content that does not rely on your service or product. This helps us maintain the educational integrity of the program and ensures attendees receive content that is both informative and unbiased.
