Student Video Contest Submission Form
"Rooted in Public Education"
The Virginia School Boards Association is asking high school students to express their thoughts and ideas around the theme "Rooted in Public Education" through our 15th annual student video contest. Students can choose one of three topics for this year's video contest:
- Rooted in Learning
- Public Education in Action
- Our School, Our Community, Our Future
Each school division is invited to submit
one 30-second video that conveys the contest theme and chosen category. The top video selected for each category will be recognized at the VSBA Annual Convention.
The name of the school division, school, principal, and primary contact information should be listed on this submission form. In addition, first and last names must be provided for
all of those involved in the production/submission of the video clip (NOTE: Not each student that is on the film).
NOTE: All students that are featured in the video (excluding wide shots of crowds)
as well as those working on the video must have their parent/guardian sign a VSBA Student Video Contest Participant Release Form. The form can be found on the second page of the contest information flyer.
Submissions will not be considered if there is not a release form attached to the online submission for each participating student.

Once the contest closes, our judges will select the top video for each category, which will be announced at the VSBA Annual Convention.The Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA) will not display or release any personal contact information in connection with the submission.
All contest guidelines must be followed and the VSBA retains the right to determine if the submitted entries comply with said rules.
