The State Emerging Leader Awards were created in 2019 to recognize outstanding new physicians in practice across the country.

Eligibility Requirements
  • Licensed, practicing Osteopathic physician within 10 years post-residency/fellowship.
  • Current member of the AOA or their State Osteopathic Association.
  • Practicing physician making a difference in health care, whose dedication has improved the lives of their patients.
  • Promotes Osteopathic medicine and its philosophy.
  • Considered a role model and strong leader among peers.
  • Has numerous noteworthy accomplishments.
  • Displays leadership through service to the profession and community.
  • Contributions within Osteopathic organizations, through teaching, administration, committee work, advocacy, or national associations.
  • Exhibits a philanthropic spirit through contributions of time, talent, or treasure.
