What are your top policy priorities for the coming year?
2025 has already extremely challenging for nonprofits in Maryland and across the nation. As we begin to look forward to 2026 - a state and congressional election year - we are asking for your help as we consider what policy issues will be most important for nonprofits in our state.
The direction of the economy and federal policies is very uncertain, but we do know that projected state revenues are inadequate to sustain even current operations and programs beyond the next fiscal year, let alone replace losses in federal support.
We are asking that you share your top policy priorities and concerns for the coming year. We also ask that you help us assess the impacts on nonprofits and services in our state of federal policy changes and funding cuts.
In the face of these challenges, we all must continue to focus our policy efforts on how we can advance the goals of equity, support and social justice for all Marylanders.
Please have the appropriate person(s) in your organization complete this short survey to tell us about your policy concerns and a bit about your activities.
Also, if your organization continues to have issues with payments received under grant agreements with state agencies, please let us know.
Maryland Nonprofits is committed to helping nonprofits have more impact on the policy issues that affect their clients and their ability to achieve their missions. Please contact us if you have any questions about policy issues, advocacy, lobbying, or the rules that apply to nonprofits.
