Thank you for your interest in becoming a Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (PFF) Ambassador!
Please read this entire section before completing an application.
PFF Ambassadors are volunteers who offer hope and inspiration to those affected by pulmonary fibrosis (PF) and interstitial lung disease (ILD) by speaking about their experiences and promoting disease awareness. PFF Ambassadors receive public speaking training as well as ongoing support from the PFF in this role.
PFF Ambassadors speak at PFF Care Center Network events, support groups, fundraisers, and other disease awareness programs. The majority of events are held virtually. Please review the full PFF Ambassador Position Description here on the commitment, qualifications, and expectations of this role.
Please complete the application below in order to officially apply for the PFF Ambassador program.
- Your application will only be considered if you complete all required questions (indicated by an asterisk).
- If the application's browser is closed before submitting, you will not be able to go back and finish the application.
- If a required question is skipped, your application will be marked incomplete and will not be considered.
- The application should take about an hour to complete.
- The PFF is accepting applications through Friday, May 1, 2026. Applications submitted after the deadline may not be considered.
The PFF is seeking applications from PF and ILD patients, caregivers, lung transplant recipients, and people who have lost a loved one to PF or ILD who currently reside in the United States. For the 2026 application cycle, the PFF is unable to accept applications from practicing healthcare professionals, industry partners, and individuals who live outside the United States. The PFF encourages applicants of diverse backgrounds to apply.
The PFF has a great number of advocates, patients, caregivers, and community members ready to share their story with the wider community. Unfortunately, the PFF is only able to work with a limited number of PFF Ambassadors at any given time. In recent years, the PFF has received 80-100 applications for just 15-20 available PFF Ambassador positions. There are still plenty of ways to share your story and become involved with the PFF if you do not become a PFF Ambassador.
