Key information

Calling all Australian teachers!

For Bell Shakespeare's 2026 National Teacher Conference (31 Jul - 1 Aug 2026), we are looking for 15-minute presentations from you for our Teacher Snapshots sessions. We want to hear a real teaching story from you about an innovative, out-of-the-box, fun, engaging, interesting, and/or unique way to teach Shakespeare. Pitch us your idea!

We are after ONE concise idea that you can share in 15 minutes, and that will be of use and inspiration to teachers across Australia! You will have a national and diverse audience of teachers and artists, keen to hear and learn from you.

You could share:
- A classroom exercise, activity or game that you have taught
- A strategy you have developed that works
- A project your students worked on
- A story/sharing from your classroom
Anything! As long as you have evidence that you have taught this and it works. We are not after hyopthetical ideas here.

You could be from a primary and/or secondary school, at any stage of your career, from anywhere in Australia, teaching any subject! Your idea only needs to be Shakespeare-based.

Please ensure appropriate credit is given, and/or permissions are secured, if you are not the creator of the content you are presenting about.

You can deliver the presentation in-person at Pier 2/3 Walsh Bay, or via live video link.

Please complete the form below and tell us about your idea and a little about yourself. Submissions will be reviewed by Bell Shakespeare staff, and we will be selecting submissions that demonstrate a broad and diverse range of ideas from a range of schools.

Submissions close Sunday 12 April 11.59pm.
