About the awards

The Innovation PNG Awards were created in 2019 by Business Advantage International and the Port Moresby Chamber of Commerce & Industry to celebrate and encourage innovation in PNG businesses and organisations.

Award categories
Three awards will be made in 2026:

  1. The Innovation PNG Award for Small Business (open to businesses with less than 10 employees)
  2. The Innovation PNG Award for Corporate Innovation (open to businesses with 10 employees or more)
  3. The Innovation PNG Award for Young Innovator of the Year (awarded to an individual under 30 years of age on 22 April 2026 - a business or government agency may nominate them, or individuals may nominate themselves)

Judging
The awards will be judged by an independent panel. In submitting your entry, you acknowledge that the judges' decisions are final.

How to enter
To enter the 2026 Innovation PNG Awards, simply tell us about your innovation by answering the questions below. (We encourage you to upload additional supporting material and/or images at the end to help the judges assess your entry.)

You have until 5pm (Port Moresby time) on Wednesday 22 April 2026 to enter. Late entries will not be considered.

Shortlist announcement event

The shortlists for each of the awards will be announced at a "TechBrek" breakfast event in Port Moresby on Wednesday 6 May.

Winner announcement event

The winners - one for each category - will be announced at the Innovation PNG Awards Breakfast on 3 June 2026. Winners will receive 2 tickets to the breakfast, a unique crystal glass winner's trophy, and have the chance to speak at the breakfast about their innovation.

The 2026 Innovation PNG Awards are co-hosted by the Port Moresby Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Business Advantage International.

Awards Shortlist Announcement

The shortlists for the 2026 Innovation PNG Awards will be announced at a special 'TechBrek' breakfast in Port Moresby on Wednesday 6 May. Tickets will be available through the Port Moresby Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
