We’re excited to invite nonprofits to apply to participate in the Lexington Black Prosperity Initiative’s annual Give 8/28 Lex Giving Day, happening on Friday, August 28, 2026. This is a powerful, community-wide moment to celebrate and support the incredible work nonprofits are doing across Lexington.

Participation is open to all Lexington–Fayette County nonprofits, as well as approved organizations that provide services to Fayette County residents.

Who can participate:
  • A verified 501(c)(3) public charity (or fiscally sponsored by such an organization)
  • Registered to solicit funds with the Kentucky Attorney General
  • Recognized on GuideStar.org with a Gold Seal of Transparency or higher

The deadline to apply is Sunday, May 17, 2026.

All applications are subject to review and approval by the Lexington Black Prosperity Initiative Advisory Committee. Organizations will be notified of their participation by Monday, June 1.
