Artist Application

Brushwood Center is looking for artists to be selected as "Artist of the Month" to display and demonstrate their work during one month at Brushwood Center in Riverwoods, IL.

Details:
- Artist will be given one corner with two walls in the Brushwood Center gallery (a space roughly 7 1/2 feet by 10 feet) plus some optional small shelf space to display/sell their work for the duration of their feature.
- Artist's work will be featured on Brushwood Center’s e-newsletter and social media.
- Artist will demonstrate their work at an “Open Art Workshop” day, taking place the last Saturday of their month
- Chosen artists will receive a $250 stipend

Selection Criteria:
- Artists must apply with samples of their work, an artist’s statement, bio and headshot.
- Preference will be given to artists whose work has ties to Brushwood Center’s mission and explores themes of health, nature and the environment, and to artists whose projects explore a creative use of less common materials.
- Individual Artists will be eligible for a Feature once per calendar year
