2026 Mario Castañeda Scholarship Application Survey

Requirement and Criteria

The ACCE Student Scholarship is now the Mario Castañeda Scholarship. A tribute to ACCE past president Mario Castañeda, the scholarship furthers his legacy to promote the profession and encourage eligible students to pursue a health technology/clinical engineering/biomedical engineering career path.

A single recipient will be selected for this $1,500 scholarship from among the qualifying applicants. The scholarship will be awarded at the annual members meeting/awards reception in May, in Denver.

Deadline to submit your application package is February 14, 2026.

ACCE membership is NOT required to submit a scholarship application.

Applicants must be a current (beginning in the Fall of 2026) full-time third year or above undergraduate college students, or recent college graduates who have been accepted to a graduate program seeking a career in clinical engineering/biomedical engineering/health systems engineering profession at an accredited college or university.
