PARADE ENTRY RULESWashburn University student organizations and departments must also register online at: https://www.washburn.edu/student-life/homecoming/event-registration.html The parade committee reserves the right to reject any proposed entrant whose entry is obscene, is patently offensive, offers no value to the community, and/or may subject to liability. Semi-truck and trailer combinations will not be allowed. Semi-trucks with no trailer will be permitted.Trailers cannot exceed 25 ft. in length and 11 ft. in width. Decorated trailer height cannot exceed 13.5 ft. from the ground up.No person should stand on the roof, hood, fender or bumper of any moving vehicle.Candy is to be distributed by people walking along the curbside. No candy or materials of any kind shall be thrown from any vehicle or float. This is due to a safety problem with young children running to get dropped candy in the street.If entry is a vehicle, applicant must provide their own driver.Entries should keep pace with the entry in front of yours maintaining a safe distance between the two.No alcohol is allowed on the parade route or in the parade lineup area.By checking the box below, I acknowledge I have read the rules/requirements stated above.
