HCA Summit Travel Reimbursement Fund

Healthy Campus Alberta recognizes that not all CoP members, departments or campuses have access to funding for travel. We value accessibility to our Wellness Summit, which is why the HCA Travel Reimbursement Fund was created in collaboration with student members of the former HCA Design Team.

Who is eligible?
  • Current students and staff at Alberta post-secondary institutions or community partners (members of community organizations partnered with campuses), who:
    • Are experiencing financial barriers to attending the Summit.
    • Do not have access to funding, have no funds available or have tried obtaining funding from their institution or organization and have been denied; AND
    • Are required to travel from outside of the Calgary area to attend the Summit.

What is included in the Travel Reimbursement Fund?

20 reimbursements of up to $250 are available to offset costs to make attendance more accessible. Additional reimbursement amounts may be approved based on the number of requests received. To qualify for reimbursement, funds are required to be used on hotel room costs at the summit location (Calgary) or transportation costs to travel from your place residence (outside of Calgary) to the summit location (Calgary). Summit registration and food costs are not eligible for reimbursement. If the cost of Summit registration is also a barrier for you, please let us know in the application.

Applications must be submitted by May 16th. Application results will be communicated by May 30th.

All approved applications will be required to submit an expense claim and receipt as proof of payment by June 25, 2025, in order to be reimbursed.
