Low Risk:
• No previous uterine incision
• Singleton Pregnancy
• ≤4 previous vaginal births
• No known bleeding disorder
• No history of PPH
Medium Risk:
• Prior C/S or uterine surgery
• Multiple gestation
4 previous vaginal births
• Gestational age <37 weeks or > 41 weeks
• Chorioamnionitis
• Prolonged labor induction (>24 hrs.)
• Polyhydramnios
• History of previous PPH
• Preeclampsia
• Large uterine fibroids
• Hematocrit <30 and other risk factors and Hgb <10
• Obesity (BMI >40)
• Estimated fetal weight >4000g
• Platelets 50,000-100,000
High RIsk Note* if have 2 medium hemorrhage risk factors it is considered a high risk:
• Placenta Previa, or low-lying placenta
• Suspected/known accrete, percreta, increta spectrum
• Abruption placenta
• Platelets < 50,000(
• Hematocrit <24 % (Hgb < 8)
• HELPP syndrome
• Known coagulopathy
• Fetal demise
