The Community Engagement Fellowship aims to introduce undergraduate students to careers in public defense, broadly defined to include anyone involved in representing indigent offenders. This includes not only attorneys but also social workers, client advocates, investigators, and others who contribute to defense teams. Through this fellowship, we aim to spark interest in public defense work while building strong relationships between fellows, their host sites, and their communities.
The fellowship is open to students of all races and ethnicities, offering an inclusive opportunity for those interested in public defense.
