SCSBA invites you to submit a proposal to present a breakout session at the 2024 Annual Convention. The SCSBA Annual Convention is scheduled to take place from February 15-18, 2024, at the Hilton Head Marriott Resort & Spa in Hilton Head, SC.
 
We are looking for programs relevant to the district leadership team (the Board and the Superintendent) that can be easily replicated by other district leadership teams.
 
Major areas of interest:
Innovative student discipline practices
Finance questions to ask (budget, audit, taxes, etc.)
In-district new board member orientation
Setting your board’s goals
Education equity and the board’s role
Board and superintendent relations
How to read and understand the school district’s budget
Diversity and inclusion
Teacher and staff retention strategies
Working as a team
Leadership team conflict management
Data-driven vision for student achievement
Community engagement
Data-driven school board decisions
Working with the media
Most breakout sessions are 60 minutes and some sessions may be asked to repeat.
