The North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) Youth Academy is a three-day residential learning experience for young adults ages 16-19. The academy will be held at the Law Enforcement Training Academy (LETA) in Bismarck from Tuesday, July 30 – Thursday, Aug. 1, 2024.

Students will be instructed by NDHP troopers in firearms safety, crash investigation, traffic enforcement, hand to hand defensive tactics, criminal law, K-9 handling, and defensive driving. Students will earn CPR certification and insurance premium reduction.

On-site lodging will be available, but is not mandatory, at the LETA Tuesday and Wednesday nights. There is no charge to participate in the Youth Academy.
