At AgFirst Farm Credit Bank, we impact the well-being of America. Our team provides funding to 16 affiliated Associations and services to 20 Associations throughout 15 Eastern states and Puerto Rico. As a $43 Billion Bank, we are the largest financial institution headquartered in South Carolina.

AgFirst offers annual educational scholarships to full-time students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Eligible students studying business, computer science or engineering, marketing, mathematics and organizational management are encouraged to apply.

Each scholarship recipient will receive $3,000 per academic year ($1,500 per semester) and will have the opportunity to visit AgFirst headquarters, where they will have exposure to the Bank’s senior leadership team as they learn about the Bank and its role in supporting agriculture and rural communities with reliable, consistent credit and financial services.

To apply, please complete and submit your application by April 30, 2024.  Scholarship recipients will be notified of their awards by August 1, 2024.

 Scholarships will be solely awarded based on student qualifications and application responses. Only complete applications will be considered. Recipients will receive scholarship funds each semester until graduation, unless the following requirements are no longer being met.

 All applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Full-time undergraduate student
  • Be entering the sophomore or junior year for the upcoming school year 
  • Have a 3.0 cumulative grade point average by the end of the academic year
  • Pursuing a degree in one of the following fields:
    • Business Administration, Agribusiness, Accounting, Economics, Finance or Marketing
    • Information Technology
    • Mathematics, Computer Science or Computer Engineering
    • Or other related major
