Thank you for your interest in the 2024 Environmental Justice Fund (EJ Fund). Across the United States, race is the most significant predictor of a person living near contaminated air, water, or soil. It is for this reason that the EJ Fund supports efforts that benefit and are led by, or in partnership with, those most affected by environmental and climate issues: people who are Black, Indigenous, people of color, immigrants, refugees, people with low incomes, youth, and elders.

This year, applications will be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis until the total funding is awarded or until 5pm (PT) on October 20, whichever comes first.

Before you get started, please read the information below carefully.
  • You will need to complete the Application Form and upload it through this online application. The Application Form will include your narrative responses, project timeline, and project budget. A sample Application is available for your reference only.
  • You are highly encouraged to request Technical Assistance prior to drafting your proposal. To request Technical Assistance, please email us at equityenviro@seattle.gov.
  • Please review the 2024 EJF Guidelines as they provide useful information about the application process. ​Refer to page 7 for the criteria the Review Team will use to review proposals.
Please note that you will need to complete this application in one session. We recommend you prepare all your attachments in advance. Responses are saved when you click the Next button at the bottom of each page of the survey. Your proposal is submitted when you click the Done button.
