2024 Wpg Fringe Billet Application

The Fringe will do its best to provide a billet accommodation for all touring artists that request one via this application form however we can’t guarantee that we will have a space for all applicants.

Billeters are expected to offer a clean, safe place to sleep and stow your gear while performing in the festival. They are not expected to chauffeur, feed, or pick up after you or your company members so please keep your area clean and tidy at all times. We ask billeters to provide some space in a fridge for performers to use, but you must purchase your own food.

We try to arrange for billet accommodation to be as close to the Fringe site as possible or on/close to public transit stops. If you need to take public transit to and from the festival site, bus passes are available at Winnipeg Transit locations in downtown, Shoppers Drug Marts and 7-Elevens.

Once we are able to match a performer with a billet we will provide contact information to both parties. Specific arrangements about arrival/keys, Covid safety, house rules etc. are made between the Host and the Performer themselves.

Please make sure that you follow any “house rules” requested by the billet. These should go without saying: no smoking in the house, quiet after 11 pm, no overnight guests, don’t let the cat/dog out, return keys before you leave town and so on. To avoid unpleasant misunderstandings later, please come to a mutual understanding before you arrive. Complaints made by the Host against the Performer for not following house rules may result in a termination of billet arrangements for current and future Fringes. Please be a good guest. Hosts expect to have a friendly but adult relationship with their guests - they are not your parents.

Please note that if you, or any of your company members, are arranging your own billet accommodation while performing at the Fringe, please email us so that we can make sure that your Host receives their “Billet Rewards” package (we need your billet’s name, address and email address).
