2023 States for Service (S4S) Coalition Leadership Council Application

If you are a current States for Service Coalition member and are interested in being considered as a Coalition Leadership Council (CLC) member, please complete the following form.
States for Service Coalition Leadership Council Overview
The States for Service Coalition is recruiting members for its Coalition Leadership Council (CLC). CLC members are national service leaders willing to dedicate their time and expertise to advance state service strategies across the country. Specifically, Council members will:
  • Commit to a 1 or 2-year term, with the option to renew
  • Represent the needs and interests of your region (based on the AmeriCorps agency's eight regions)
  • Participate in quarterly CLC calls and monthly S4S calls
  • Help set strategy and develop key campaigns to promote state service
  • Engage peers and communicate across your region for specific campaigns
  • Organize meetings with elected officials and mobilize networks such as commissioners, program board members, etc. (ex. August Recess office visits, Hill Visits, thank you note and letter-writing campaigns)
  • Track, collect, and report on regional engagement data (calls, meetings, etc.)
  • Help recruit future Coalition Leadership Council and S4S members

8.Certification — By submitting my candidacy for the Coalition Leadership Council, I understand that I am aware of the following requirements and responsibilities.

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Be a current member of States for Service Coalition (must pay annual dues of $50/individual, $150 programs/partners, or $500/state service commissions)
  • Use non-federally funded time for coalition activities (may be privately funded or volunteer time)
  • Commission Leaders: Must be a commission staff member or commissioner
  • Program Leaders: Must be a staff member, Board member, or AmeriCorps Alumni of an AmeriCorps State or other state service program

Council Member Responsibilities and Activities:

Applicants will be contacted regarding the status of their application in mid-February 2023. Council members will start their work in March 2023.
