Program Interest Form

Every North Valley student should complete this survey no later than Friday, March 24.

We are excited to be offering the North Valley Summer Internship Program for 2023. This program partners students with local businesses, in a student's chosen career pathway, to help students develop basic job skills through work-based learning. Last year 29 students participated in this program and we are hoping more students take advantage of the opportunity!

Students will earn 1/2 school credit for 75 hours of work or 1 school credit for 150 hours of work throughout the summer and may receive work wages from working.  Students and employers will submit paperwork during the placement and be in contact with their CTE Internship Supervisor. If you don't think you need the graduation credits, please be aware that including a Summer Internship on your resume and/or college application is a definite advantage.

Many area businesses interested in Summer Interns will be at North Valley on Wednesday, April 5 for the 2023 Summer Internship Fair and will be interviewing students for employment. All North Valley students will be participating. Positions available at each business will be provided to students.

If you indicate interest in a summer internship, and are approved, North Valley staff will work with you to place you at a Summer Internship location based on feedback from the businesses interviewing students during the Internship Fair, availability of openings, your desired location for placement, and the schedule that you indicate on the survey.

Once you have a placement, you have until April 28 to turn in a Summer Internship Agreement signed by an approved supervisor from a business. Application does not guarantee acceptance into the program.

Students who are currently in Grade 12 (graduating in 2023) should complete the survey and indicate whether or not they have a summer job lined up or if they wish to be considered for one. Grade 12 students will not be able to sign up for an internship this summer, but we would be happy to help match you with an employer seeking your skills.
