2023 H. Don Mahan Memorial Award

The H. Don Mahan Award is presented by the SCVMA to an individual who has served organized veterinary medicine in an extra-ordinary manner while at the same time embracing Don Mahan’s philosophy of service to the pet owning public.  Dedication of service to the veterinary medical profession and concern for the well being of animals weigh heavily in the selection of the recipient. 

The award consists of a commemorative plaque and a donation to the SCVMA Foundation in honor of the recipient.  The award is presented each year at the SCVMA Annual Celebration Event.
