Iowa Community Action Association (ICAA) is a 501(c)(3) state association; we hold a training conference each year to bring new learning and networking opportunities to our network of 16 nonprofit Community Action Agencies serving individuals and families with limited resources throughout Iowa's 99 counties.
ICAA seeks workshop presenters for our annual training conference (Wednesday, July 26th & Thursday, July 27th, 2023) in West Des Moines, IA.
Based on our long history of tapping into our exceptional in-network experts and partners, ICAA would like to secure a number of Iowa CAA professionals to provide training. We welcome proposals from the broader Community Action network and partners across our State, Region and National network.
Our 2023 conference will be a hyflex event, which means there will be in-person participation, virtual participation, and all sessions will be recorded for registrants to access following the event. The workshops and plenary sessions will be live-streamed for virtual attendees, and we would ask presenters take this into consideration when developing their materials. Presenters are asked to be on-site for their workshop presentation.
Members from the Conference Planning Committee will be providing in-person support for all presenters and will monitor virtual attendee chat/questions and assist with technical troubleshooting.
The conference will follow CDC guidance for in person gatherings and additional information will be sent out as needed.
Proposal Submissions are due by February 3rd.
