CAHA has partnered with the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) to foster a culture of respect throughout hockey in the Carolinas. PCA is a national organization with the mission of creating a positive, character-building youth sports environment that results in BETTER ATHLETES, BETTER PEOPLE. To do this, the awards program will recognize people in our Associations who implement the principles of “We Honor the Game Here”.  The Awards Program is as follows:

· Individuals may nominate candidates for these awards via SportsEngine. - Self-nominations are accepted.
· CAHA will award 2 in-season and one annual award for Officials and for Players, Coaches, and Volunteers in the age groups 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, and 16U/18U. 
· Winners will be selected by the We Honor The Game Here Committee made up of CAHA Board members and Association representatives.
- Award periods:  Sept-Nov awarded in December, Dec-Feb awarded in March, and annual Role Model of the Year awarded in April.
