Origin of the Wyoming Women's Antelope Hunt
The Wyoming Women’s Antelope Hunt was founded in 2013 by the Wyoming Women’s Foundation (WYWF) as an opportunity for mentoring and developing camaraderie between women. The Wyoming Women's Antelope Hunt raises funds and awareness for the Wyoming Women's Foundation (WYWF), whose mission is to invest in the economic self-sufficiency of women and opportunities for girls.

Teaching women to hunt can help them feed their families nutritious food and fulfills WYWF’s mission of investing in the economic self-sufficiency of women. Now in its tenth year, the Hunt is the first all-female hunt of its kind in the United States. This professionally-guided antelope hunt for all levels and ages of hunters emphasizes safety, hunting ethics, and mentoring. The friendly and supportive community and beautiful surroundings encourage new friendships, networking, and opportunities to learn and grow.

Event Dates & Sponsorship Cost
The 2022 Wyoming Women's Antelope Hunt will be held October 6-9, 2022. In 2022, sponsored hunt spots cost $5,500 each. Sponsors will receive promotional benefits, and many will send hunters of their choice to participate. Sponsorships also continue to help support the scholarship program, ensure the sustainability of the hunt, raise money to host the annual event, and carry out the mission of the Wyoming Women’s Foundation.

Ways to participate
As always, there are three ways to participate as a hunter at the Hunt. 1) Sponsors, 2) individuals and 3) scholarships fill the approximately 46 hunt spots available.

Schedule & Hunt Spots Available
Up to 33 sponsored spots will be available in 2022. The number of hunt spots fluctuates slightly depending on weather and forage conditions, animal populations, and hunting land available in a given year. Sponsors who needed to make a sponsorship payment in 2021 were asked to get their applications in by December 20, 2021. The committee began reviewing applications starting December 20 and notified the first round of selection on Dec 23. The committee will continue to review sponsor applications until all sponsored hunt spots are filled.

Becoming a 2022 Hunt Spot Sponsor - new!
Criteria for selection of all hunt spot sponsors will be based on a short application and reviewed by a panel of Hunt Planning Committee members. WYWF is looking for sponsorship partners who are invested in improving women's economic self-sufficiency, mentoring and leadership opportunities, and camaraderie among women through hunting.

Pronghorn Bucks Bonus Hunt Spot - new!
Starting this year, there is a new way to receive a hunt spot! We will be compiling “preference points,” also known as “Pronghorn Bucks” based on donations to the Hunt scholarship fund, Shelley’s Fund, Ride the Range Fund or the Wyoming Women’s Foundation beginning Nov 1, 2021, through April 30, 2022. Donors receive one Pronghorn Buck per dollar of tax-deductible donations. One hunt spot will be available to the donor with the highest number of Pronghorn Bucks at the regular registration rate for an individual or sponsored hunter, in addition to their previous donations. We will continue to develop the Pronghorn Bucks program in the future. You must submit this application to be considered for the Pronghorn Bucks Bonus Spot.
