Resurrection Giving Plan

Orthodox Christian Stewardship is a way of life, which acknowledges accountability, reverence, and responsibility before God. Becoming a Steward begins when we believe in God, to whom we give our love, loyalty and trust and act on those beliefs. As Stewards, we affirm that every aspect of our lives comes as a gift from Him. Stewardship calls on the faithful to cheerfully offer back to God a portion of the gifts with which they have been blessed.

The Bible encourages tithing as a guideline for giving. Tithing is when one cheerfully gives 10% of Gross Household Income for the love, glory, and support of His Church. Tithing should be every person’s ultimate goal based on Holy Scripture. If you cannot give 10% initially, start by challenging yourself to “round-up” your current pledge and increase your percentage each year thereafter. Here is a simple worksheet for calculating your “rounded-up” stewardship pledge.

“Let everyone give as his heart tells him, neither grudgingly, nor under compulsion, for God loves the man that gives cheerfully.”
 (11 Cor. 9:7)
