Applications are now open for the 2023 Northparkes Mines Indigenous Scholarships. Successful recipients receive $10,000 in funding each year of their university studies and are provided with a laptop at the commencement of their studies. 

On top of this, students receive constant support through their studies and paid work placement opportunities in uni holidays to ensure scholarship holders can attend, enjoy and eventually obtain employment in their chosen field.

Indigenous students aged 30 or under who have obtained entry into a university degree are eligible to apply. This scholarship is open to both technical and non-technical degrees. 

Examples of non-technical careers include;
  • Nursing
  • Occupational Health/Safety/Science
  • Physiotherapy
  • Accounting
  • Environmental Science
  • Human Resources/Training
  • Social Work
  • Communications
  • Business
  • Teaching

Examples of technical careers;
  • Mining Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Metallurgy
  • Geoscience
