This summer marks the 30th year of the Greeley Summer Farmers Market!!!  We will celebrate this milestone all summer as well as enjoy the distinct honor and title of being voted the Best Farmer's Market in Colorado in 2021 presented by American Farmland Trust and the Farmers Market Coalition.  We look forward to another successful year at the Greeley Farmers' Market!

Vendors are a huge part of the success of the Market and we are excited to be your partner in bringing the best products you have grown, raised or produced to customers of Greeley and the surrounding area for 2022. 
Application preference will be given to fresh food vendors, value-added food producers, artisan/crafter services related to the culinary and previous vendors in good standing with the Market.

Applications must be turned in by April 8, 2022. Vendors will be notified of acceptance no later than April 22, 2022.  In an effort to streamline the application, the acceptance and document tracking process, the preferred application process will be this electronic application Please contact the Market Manager for any special accommodations that may be needed. 
*If you are a new vendor applicant and do not have a Greeley Business License or insurance, you can wait to apply for both of these items upon acceptance into the market.  Only food vendors with current food safety training will be considered for acceptance into the 2022 Summer Market.

Upon acceptance, vendors will need to provide all current certifications/licenses, insurance and a Greeley Business License before they participate in their first market. 
*If your business is accepted, you can expect to receive an invoice for booth fees, map of location and/or any additional information needed for a successful 2022 season.

Insurance: ALL VENDORS must provide a certificate of insurance for $1 million General Liability insurance.  Vendors offering produce, prepared foods and/or personal care products must also provide proof of Product Liability insurance of at least $1 million in addition to general liability.  The City of Greeley must be listed as additionally insured.

Prepared and Cottage Foods: in addition to insurance, vendors offering prepared foods must provide a copy of their Retail Food Establishment permit, Commercial Kitchen license or Cottage Foods certificate. Vendors offering produce obtained directly from another Colorado grower must provide a copy of their Department of Agriculture permit.

The Greeley Farmers' Market, supported by both the Colorado Farmers' Market Association and Nourish Colorado, offers four different types of coupons for customers at the Market. 

Market Bucks - Market Bucks are in $5 denominations and may be used to purchase any item at the market. Vendors may give change back to the customer as necessary if the product costs less than $5. 

SNAP Coupons - SNAP coupons are in $1 denominations and may only be used to purchase eligible items. Vendors should not set a minimum purchase for customers who present SNAP coupons. SNAP eligible items include the following: 

1. Fruits and Vegetables
2. Dried Beans and Produce
3.  Cheese
4.  Eggs
5. Meat
6. Bread
7.  Seafood
8.  Cider
9. Nuts/Seeds
10. Honey, Jam, Syrups
11. Edible Plant Starts and Plant seeds 
12. Cold Snack items

Double Up Food Bucks -These coupons are provided as an incentive for customers who purchase SNAP Coupons with there EBT Benefits. Double Up Food Bucks are issued in $1 denominations, and may only be used to purchase the following items:

1.  Colorado grown fruits and vegetables, cut herbs.
2.  All edible cut herbs

WIC Vouchers-These are $5 vouchers that are only eligible for fruits and vegetables.  No change may be given on these vouchers.

For consistency and clarity, Market Management asks that all vendors accept Market Bucks. Only vendors selling SNAP, DUFB and WIC eligible items may accept those coupons.

* 15. Market Guidelines (these guidelines are attached to the application email for your future reference):

The Greeley Farmers' Market is primarily for fresh food vendors, value- added food producers, artisans/ crafters and service related to the culinary arts. All food and products must be grown, raised or made in Colorado. Preference is given to vendors with products from Weld County, Colorado. If you have a farm partner and are selling their products, none of their products can be sold without the farm partners' written permission on file at the Farmers' Market Manager's office and adequate signage at your booth stating the partnership.
·     The Market will be held in Greeley's Historic Train Depot- 902 7th Avenue, Greeley, CO. Vendors must provide tables, tents (10'x10') with weights for each tent leg.
·     Vendors shall display a sign that lists their farm/business name and location (such as county or nearest town). Note: the Market manager can laminate your sign if need be.
·     All required certificates, including Retail Food Establishment permits, Department of Agriculture broker licenses, cottage food training certificate and certified scale permits must be displayed in a visible location at each booth.
·     Vendors are required to report total sales for every Market.  This information is used as a data tracking tool only for City Council Reporting, Budgeting, Metrics and Grant opportunities.  Please report accurate sales as it is an extremely helpful measurement tool.
·       Vendors offering food samples must do so in compliance with food sampling guidelines.  There will be no food sampling permitted during COVID.
·     Vendors are encouraged to have a Facebook/Instagram pages and promote the Market on social media. Likewise, the Market will promote vendors on the Greeley Farmers' Market Facebook and Instagram pages.
·     Vendors should behave in a professional manner and are asked to refrain from calling out, “hawking” or otherwise distracting customers or other vendors. Any violations should be communicated to the Market Master.
·     By signing the Vendor Coupon Agreement, vendors agree to accept Market Bucks, SNAP Coupons and Double Up Food Bucks, if applicable.
·     Vendors are responsible for leaving their assigned area clean. All merchandise, equipment and debris must be removed from the premises at the close of the market day. The security of items left is at the sole risk of the vendor.
·     Vendors are asked not to leave the market area before the end of the Market without express consent of the Market Master.
·       The Market is a smoke-free environment.
·     Pets should not be brought to the Market site.
·     If you know you will miss a market, please contact the market manager, no later than the Monday before the market so that a substitute vendor can be contacted.  Remember: empty booth spaces hurt the overall market.  Think about your Farmers Market Family and plan ahead as much as possible.  Multiple abscesses may result in dismissal from the Market!!!
