Overview

Each year, the Town of Clayton works on creating its annual budget, which is a year-long process involving the Mayor, Town Council, Town staff, and YOU.

As a resident, your input is crucial in helping us set our service priorities. Let us know what’s important to you!

For the purposes of this survey, you’ll find Town services classified under the following categories:

Parks and Recreation
Cultural Arts
Library
Transportation and Infrastructure
Environmental Sustainability
Economic Stability and Growth
Public Safety
Vibrant and Accessible Downtown

Please follow the instructions on each page to indicate your budgeting priorities. The survey should take about 10 minutes to complete.

Parks and Recreation: Construction of new parks, greenways and facilities; maintenance and improvements to existing parks, greenways, and facilities; and athletic programming.

Transportation and Infrastructure: Construction and improvement of roadways, sidewalks, and bicycle lanes; public transit projects; and railroad crossing improvements.

Environmental Sustainability: Stormwater management; sanitation and recycling services; and initiatives to decrease the Town's carbon footprint, such as renewable energy improvements to Town facilities.

Economic Stability and Growth: Identifying and purchasing new development sites; recruiting new business and industry; and launching marketing initiatives for downtown businesses.

Public Safety: Resources to support the operations of the three public safety departments within the Town: Fire, Police, and Emergency Communication.

Vibrant and Accessible Downtown: Repurposing unused or underused spaces for public enjoyment; landscaping; and improving parking, sidewalks, and pedestrian crossings.

Cultural Arts: Resources to support the operation of cultural arts programming and public art displays.

Library: Resources to support the Hocutt-Ellington Memorial Library which provides a variety of books and programming to the public.
