The Commission on Cancer (CoC) is seeking nominations for the physician presenter for the annual Oncology Lecture, held during the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Clinical Congress in Washington, DC, October 24-28, 2021.

This year the process was handled a bit differently than it has been in the past. The CoC Education Committee solicited for topics and chose the following for the lecture.

Topic: Disparities in cancer care
Subtopics include but are not limited to following categories related to disparities:
- Racial disparities in the delivery of cancer care
- Measuring equity of care across systems
- Targeting equity of care in system‐level performance improvement

The purpose of the Oncology Lecture is to present current, major developments in the field of oncology and to emphasize the role of the surgeon in the care of patients with cancer. The lecturer should be a leader in the field of oncology who has done outstanding work in clinical and/or laboratory research, and/or cancer management.

Please provide your top three nominees to speak on disparities in cancer care below. The final nominee will be selected by the CoC Executive Committee from the list of candidates.

Responses due by Friday, October 9, 2020. We thank you in advance for your quick reply.

Thank you,
CoC Education Committee
