For the last several years, high schools have been reviving and growing programs to recruit and train for industrial craft careers. It is because of these efforts that the Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance (GBRIA) would like to recognize these schools for their hard work and achievements. This effort first began in 2015 in consideration of what the industrial sector means for keeping the economy of Louisiana prosperous and to recognize the schools and teachers who are training the crafts men and women of the future. This program is meant to highlight efforts by teachers and students in the schools and career centers in and around our area. Each school or career center may be self-nominated or by a plant, contract employer or a group of plants and/or contractors that sponsor a school/program. In addition, one high school CTE instructor (per nominated school) may be nominated by a CT Supervisor or School Principal for a GBRIA High School Champion Award.
Each school will also need to fill out an application for the 2021 awards.
