About the Scholarship
WSIA offers a scholarship opportunity for the qualified applicants employed by a WSIA member firm who is also a member of a designated state surplus line association. The scholarship covers tuition for the virtually facilitated program.

About WSIA Excess and Surplus Lines 
Gain a solid understanding of how excess and surplus lines insurance works in the marketplace in this introductory program. E&S participants analyze and discuss real world issues and leave with a foundational understanding of the dynamics and relationships between surplus lines brokers and carriers. WSIA has converted the 2021 program into a five-day facilitated virtual learning experience.

Who Should Attend
The Excess & Surplus Lines program is designed for insurance professionals with less than five years of experience in the surplus lines industry. The program is also an excellent introduction to the surplus lines industry for new employees or even veteran insurance professionals who are just new to surplus lines.

Eligibility
Applicants must be currently employed by a Surplus Line Association (SLA) member. In addition, the firm you are employed by must be a member of WSIA, or the firm has submitted an application for membership.
