Citizens' Academy Survey The Town of Wake Forest is interested in offering a Citizens' Academy for Wake Forest residents, business owners and stakeholders. This program would replace the Planning Academy that has been offered for many years by the Town’s Planning Department.Citizens’ Academies are educational programs conducted by cities and counties to better inform and engage citizens. Most programs cover an array of topics, such as: Planning and Zoning Public Safety Transportation Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Budget and Finance Economic Development The average number of sessions vary with some programs taking place over the course of one or two weekends, while others are offered weekly anywhere from 5-12 weeks - depending on the number of sessions and topics covered.
