Welcome to the 2021 edition of the Working Mother & Avtar Best Companies for Women in India (BCWI) & the Most Inclusive Companies Index (MICI), studies!

Working Mother Media, a division of Bonnier Corporation, that serves as a cutting-edge thought leader and champion of diversity and culture change, and Avtar - a pioneer in Diversity & Inclusion solutions in India that assists discerning organizations in making their workplaces more inclusive, come together to launch the sixth edition of BCWI in India to recognize and honor companies that are frontrunners in attracting, retaining and developing women talent. The study has seen five very successful runs in India in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 going on to list and showcase one hundred best companies for women in India in all these years. In 2019, Working Mother Media & Avtar also joined hands to create Corporate India’s first Inclusion Index encompassing inclusion of gender, generation, sexual orientation, physical capabilities and culture, called the Most Inclusive Companies Index (MICI). MICI is in its third year run in 2021.

2020 BCWI was extremely well received in corporate India with 321 companies participating. The key feature of the study is that it is entirely an alphabetical listing. Last year’s 2020 Top 10 Best Companies for Women in India (listed alphabetically) are Accenture, Barclays, EY, Genpact, IBM, Infosys, KPMG, Novartis, Target and Tech Mahindra.
