The Ann Arbor Figure Skating Club is a non-profit organization operated primarily by volunteers. In order for this club to continue providing extensive and varied skating opportunities, it is necessary for each club skater or skater's family to volunteer.
For NEW AAFSC skaters in the 2021-2022 season, with a Club #1 or Club #1 Plus membership the volunteer requirement is 40 hours of work for the club throughout the 2021-2022 Membership Season (July 1, 2021 thru June 30, 2022). The volunteer commitment for NEW 2021-2022 Second Club, Adult, and Professional members is 20 hours; the volunteer requirement for NEW 2021-2022 Introductory members is 15 hours and Collegiate members is 10 hours.
For skaters with 2021-2022 AND 2020-2021 AAFSC membership the following changes have been made:
With several of our events this season held virtually or cancelled, we understand that the available volunteer opportunities have been limited. As a result, the Board of Directors has voted to combine the volunteer seasons for 2020-2021 and 2021-2022. Rather than require the full volunteer commitment for the 2020-2021 season, the required hours for the 2021-2022 will be multiplied by 1.25 which must be completed by June 2022. This is a "discounted" combination of the volunteer hours for the two seasons.
Please use the chart below to determine your updated volunteer requirement for the combined 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 seasons.
Membership Type in the 2021-2022 season:
· Club #1 was 40 hours ➜ now 50 hours total
· Introductory was 15 hours ➜ now 19 hours total
· Second Club was 20 hours ➜ now 25 hours total
· Collegiate was 15 hours ➜ now 19 hours total
· Adult was 20 hours ➜ now 25 hours total
· Senior 0 hours
The total combined Volunteer Requirement is due by June 2022
Volunteer hours must be entered on Track it Forward

All Volunteer Hours must be entered into Track It Forward by Monday June 1, 2022. Any uncompleted 2021-22 Volunteer Hours will be assessed at the rate of $5/hour.
