It is suggested that faculty are nominated by their institution’s President/CEO, Provost/Academic Vice President or Dean with a limit of one nominee per institution. ITC will recognize every faculty member who is nominated for this award as a distinguished educator, chosen by his or her institution as an exemplary member of his or her community.
The faculty member must have taught at least two fully-distance learning classes in the past year. Documentation of their outstanding teaching and class management strategies is required along with course success retention figures, and other pertinent information. The documented teaching and/or course management strategies must be replicable and of value to the teaching profession.
ITC will present each distinguished educator with a framed certificate at the Recognition Luncheon at eLearning 2019, and list them in the eLearning 2019 conference program and on the ITC Web site. Unfortunately, ITC is not able to provide a complimentary conference registration for each distinguished educator; we do ask that the nominating institutions make a commitment to these nominees by providing the financial support to participate in eLearning 2019.
A panel of ITC judges will choose ONE or TWO exemplary faculty members to receive ITC's 2019 Outstanding eLearning Faculty award from this pool of distinguished educators. ITC will provide a complimentary registration to these one or two outstanding educators to attend eLearning 2019.
