Design/Build Award Entry Form guidelines

Entry deadline - December 10, 2019
Entries submitted in this category should be for a landscape design and installation that exemplifies quality workmanship consistent with industry best management practices, follows design and related specifications for the project, and satisfies client expectations in the finished product. Project must be designed by an in-house landscape architect or designer and constructed by the company submitting the project.
 
All current, regular ALCC member companies are eligible to enter into this category. Must be a current member with a membership expiration date of June 30, 2020 or later.
 
Entry guidelines and procedures
  • Select a project you believe merits the award for this category.
  • Installation must have been completed 6 months prior to submittal. It is suggested that the project be at least 1 year old.
  • Installation may be up to 5 years old.
  • Complete the entry form on the following pages. You will be able to return to the form if you are not able to complete your entry in one sitting. Please note, you will need to use the same device in order to access your saved entry form.
  • The majority of the work done on the project (50% or more) must be completed by the company submitting this entry form. If two companies are submitting an entry jointly, they must both be ALCC members.
  • You will be asked to submit no more than 12 color photos that demonstrate the project. Your entry is not considered complete until your photos are submitted.
  • Photo images should include photos of the actual installation for the project and any special challenges or elements. Photos taken from the same vantage point are recommended. You must include an image of the design but do not display company logo or name.
  • Each entry must include a signature of release. Photos and video become the property of ALCC. ALCC reserves the right to utilize all submitted photos for the awards program and/or other promotional and publicity purposes. ALCC accepts no responsibility for copyrights or photogenic fees. Please note, if your project is selected as a finalist in this category, you will be asked to provide photo credits.

Judging criteria
Your entry will be judged on the following:
  • Ability to meet customer goals and budget.
  • Appropriate application of installation/construction practices.
  • Appropriate scale and functionality. Uniqueness and overall creativity of design.
  • Solutions offered to address special or unusual problems associated with the project.
  • Quality of execution, craftsmanship, and use of GreenCO Best Management Practices.
