Oak Knoll Winery, the Official Winery of the Portland Rose Festival, is seeking submissions of artwork to be considered for the 2020 Rose Festival Oak Knoll Wine Label from November 15, 2019 to January 15, 2020. Oak Knoll Winery annually produces a custom wine label for its Rose Festival release of Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Rosé of Pinot Noir.

The winner will receive:
-$1000 cash prize generously donated by Oak Knoll Winery
-Broad public exposure through Rose Festival VIP events
-A public unveiling of the new label (April 2020)
-A variety of public appearances including bottle signings
-Experience of transforming their artwork into a wine label by participating in the process with representatives from Rose City Label Company
-And more!
Contest Eligibility

Participants in this contest must:
-Be 18 years of age or older 
-Reside in Multnomah (OR), Washington (OR), Clackamas (OR) or Clark (WA) Counties
-Not be an employee or board member of Oak Knoll Winery, Rose City Label Co., or the Portland Rose Festival Foundation (nor the immediate family member of such a person.)

All entries in this contest must:

-Depict the artist's interpretation of the 2020 Rose Festival theme: 2020 Rose Vision
-Be an original work of art no larger than 18" x 18" on paper, fiber, canvas or digital.
-Provide space on the artwork for us to add these required elements/words as part of the label production process: 
            -Oak Knoll Logo
            -"2020 Rose Festival Collectors Series"
            -Appellation: "Willamette Valley"
            -Varietal: "Pinot Noir", "Pinot Gris", or "Rosé of Pinot Noir"
            -Vintage of wine: (not yet determined, please leave space)
            -Alcohol content: (not yet determined please leave space for "ALC %XX BY VOL")
-Include a brief artist statement about the inspiration for the artwork, and how it relates to the 2020 Rose Festival theme.
-Each candidate may submit up to three (3) designs (photograph of finished artwork or digital artwork) for consideration as a part of this application.
-Allowable file types for the designs include PDF, DOC or DOCX, PNG, JPG or JPEG, and GIF. File size must not exceed 16MB each.


-There is no fee to enter.
-All artwork must be original - submissions containing copied, reproduced, third-party or trademarked content will be disqualified.
-Decision of the panel of judges is final.
-The original winning art design becomes the property of Oak Knoll Winery.
-The completed design (with above required elements/words added) must be approved by the TTB (Alcohol & Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau).
-Winner will be selected by a panel of judges, and will be notified by no later than January 31, 2020
