About the International Institutes

Stanford Pre-Collegiate International Institutes is seeking experienced post-doctoral scholars, advanced graduate students, or adjunct faculty to teach half-day workshops for academically talented international high school students this summer at Stanford.

You will teach the same workshop to different cohorts in either morning or afternoon sessions (or both). The total number of workshops will vary according to instructor availability and the number of cohorts in the session.  We generally require that you be available for at least half of the workshops in order to hire you for that session.

We pay instructors $250 per half-day workshop, including all preparation. There are no student evaluations required after the session.

Building global citizenship is a key goal of our program. Besides participating in workshops on a variety of topics with students from their own country, our participants also work in multi-country cohorts on a Global Solutions Project during afternoon and evening sessions. Themes for this year’s project will be provided to you, and we encourage you to work them into your subject matter where appropriate.
