Introduction to Poster Presentations

TPA 2020 Annual Convention - Inclusion
November 12-14, 2020
Renaissance Austin Hotel
Proposal Receipt Deadline: July 31

TPA is pleased to announce its 2020 Annual Convention Call for Proposals. TPA is now accepting proposals for workshops, posters, discussions (previously symposiums), and our new category: data blitz sessions. TPA President Dr. Megan Mooney and the TPA Convention Committee encourage submissions from all individuals in all settings representing psychology. We especially welcome submissions relating to this year’s convention theme: INCLUSION.

POSTER PRESENTATIONS
Posters are in a format that allows for extended discussion of the presentation with the author. They use illustrative materials placed on a poster (maximum 4' x 4') with tables, graphs, and data. The text of the summary submitted should include the background, methods, results, and conclusions. While TPA will supply poster board to which you can tack your materials, authors must provide their own illustrative materials not to exceed 4’x4’. Since space is limited, NO exceptions will be made.

Given that most colleges and universities closed their doors in mid-March, scientific experiments may have been interrupted. Theoretical papers and literature reviews will also be accepted.

Authors must be present; presentations by faculty on behalf of a student or students are not allowed, unless approved by TPA.

Accepted posters will be judged by the Texas Psychological Foundation Board Members. Cash awards will be given to first, second, and third place winners.
