We are pleased to offer free trees to landowners as a partnership between the Penn State Ag & Environment Center and the Donegal Chapter of Trout Unlimited. Each tree that is planted helps to restore and protect local streams and rivers. We are looking for landowners who are interested in continuing this great effort.  
  • Application deadline is  5pm, July 26th, 2019
  • Applications will be ranked based on:
    • location
    • conservation potential
    • other selected criteria
  • Stock is limited and will be given out based on site ranking 
  • Site visits, after application, are mandatory to receive trees

**For the following questions**
The trees from our nursery should be used to create small woodlands or wooded buffers along natural waterways that would be grass otherwise. They are not intended to be used as shade trees, landscaping trees, street trees, or to supplement an already healthy forest. Our trees should be allowed to grow naturally, as a functioning forest would, without intensive mowing past the establishment period. The following questions will help us determine your eligibility.
