The 2019 Summer Volunteer Program begins Monday, June 17, and ends on Friday, August 2.

This application will be open from April 15 to May 15, and participants will be notified of their group assignment during the week of June 3. Participants may fill out the application form themselves, or parents/guardians can fill it out. Please fill out a form for each volunteer, even if they are siblings.

Groups will be filled on a first-come-first-serve basis, and we will do our best to keep your preferences in mind, but you may not get placed in your first choice group. Upon receiving notification of your volunteer group assignment, please confirm your intention to participate.

Volunteers agree to uphold library guidelines as they perform their duties, and agree to attend all volunteer sessions as assigned. Volunteers agree to communicate with group leaders when unable to participate as scheduled.

The 2019 Summer Volunteer Groups are:

Big Buddies will commit to one or two time slots each week and will work with the same kid(s) throughout the program. This fun interactive program offers a great opportunity for teens looking to get valuable one-on-one experience mentoring and working with younger kids. Volunteers in this group must commit to attend at least four of their five weekly sessions between June 24 and July 24.
