During each session, bills are either actively promoted by the MCA or that are pursued by other groups that the MCA supports, opposes or which the association maintains a position of neutrality.

This past legislative session ended without any major healthcare bills enacted into law. This inaction provides a large opportunity for healthcare legislation in 2019. To assist the MCA’s Legislative Committee as it prepares for the 2019 legislative session, please share your opinion regarding the following areas of focus:

Introduce legislation that would require health plans to open their provider networks to a greater number of chiropractic doctors
Support legislation that would allow no-fault insurance arbitration to be initiated by either the insured or the insured's assignee – including doctors of chiropractic
Pursue legislation addressing various non-discrimination issues (e.g., reimbursement disparities based on provider type, closed networks, limited CPT codes, etc)
Oppose legislation introduced by the physical therapy profession that would infringe on our scope of practice
