Dear MEDIA rep and/or Freelance Photographer...

USA BMX gladly welcomes the Press to the infield of any USA BMX national event. Working Media is always our highest priority.
If you are approved for Media Credentials at a national, we do require you to fill out a Bib slip at the event, which will require Credit Card information as a "deposit."  Your credit card WILL NOT be charged as long as you return the vest at the end of the day. Your deposit slip will then be given back to you when the bib is returned.
If you fail to return a vest, your card will be charged $50.

All MEDIA vests must be returned at the end of weekend, and worn at all times when you are in the infield.
Failure to wear your Media vest may result in you asking to leave the infield area of the track.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your information. We look forward to seeing you at the races!

QUAD COPTERS & DRONES Definition:

QUAD COPTERS & DRONES Definition:
  • Guidelines for QUAD COPTER / DRONES at our Events:
The USA BMX guidelines for QuadCopters & Drones used for taking photos and videos. at this time, require the following:
* In the context of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) – popularly called “drones”— the Department of Transportation requires that all drone pilots must have an FAA license. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) now requires every drone owner to register each drone that is purchased weighing over .55lbs. If your drone is NOT registered you may be subject to the legal consequences defined in the U.S. Government drone regulation terms.
* For the safety of all attendees at our events, USA BMX requires open bladed copters/drones to fly at a further/higher distance - minimum 25' buffer (from ground surface) and will only be allowed to fly in a designated area to the side of the track. (NOT ABOVE the track, riders or spectators). Copter must maintain a safe distance from riders and spectators. Take-off and landing area to be designated in a safe area, off to the side of the track - away from participants and public.
* Enclosed-blade copters or drones will be allowed to fly at lower altitudes and can take-off and land in the infield of the track - as space and local laws allow.
* QuadCopters/Drones will NOT be permitted at any Indoor events - unless pre-approved by USA BMX.
* USA BMX request a copy of all photos/videos shot by QuadCopters or Drones at any of our events - without compensation, to be used for future promotional materials and possible use in PULL magazine.
