This SHAC Award nomination is part of an initiative from the Texas Action for Healthy Kids’ SHAC Leadership Team which includes experts from state-level agencies and organizations who are working to help SHACs across Texas.

Five District winners will be announced the week of May 6th, 2019. Each recipient will have the opportunity to present their successes as part of the SHAC in Action webinar series, and will be recognized for 12 months on the SHAC in Action webpage hosted by It’s Time Texas; recognized at the 2019 It’s Time Texas Healthier Texas Summit October 17-18th in Austin, Texas; will receive two free registrations for the Healthier Texas Summit, one for a district representative and one for a parent representative; will receive a travel stipend for the Healthier Texas Summit; and will receive one free registration for the 2020 TAHK annual summit.
